How to Freeze (Lock) Column Headings in Microsoft Excel

1. Launch Excel and open your spreadsheet.
2. Select the 'View' tab at the top of the Excel window.
3. Click the 'Freeze Panes' button. This will open a drop-down menu.
4. Click 'Freeze Top Row.'
